Zero budget natural farming’s (ZBNF) core principles include complete elimination of all chemical fertilisers and pesticides; rearing of only indigenous breeds of cows which are used as principle source of nutrients with one cow sufficing for 30 acres of farmland; botanical extracts prepared by using only locally available inputs and minimum tillage, which makes the soil soft and porous.
