ICFRE to increase area under bamboo cultivation in Tripura

"One hectare of land was distributed per family among a total 1,76,000 tribal families under the Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006. We want bamboo multiplication by imparting them with modern cultivation techniques and know-how so that it can generate sustainable livelihood for them," Director General of ICFRE, V K Bahuguna said.
