ITBP personnel killed

The passenger vehicle, on way to Kargil from Srinagar, rolled down the gorge near Hawas Camp in Sonamarg area, 80 kms from here, yesterday after its driver lost the control, a police spokesman said.

He said rescue parties immediately swung into action and rescued four persons in an injured condition.

The injured were shifted to Public Health Centre Sonamarg where one of them identified as Amarjeet Singh, an ITBP personnel hailing from Chandigarh, succumbed to injuries.
