Jharsuguda SP injured in mishap

SP Dilip Kumar Deo sustained wounds in his right knee and ankle after his jeep skidded off the road and turned turtle while trying to save a motorcyclist near Sarasmal Square, Deputy Superintendent of Police Anthony Tirkey said.

Deo was returning from Sambalpur when the mishap took place, he said, adding that the officer has been admitted to VSS Medical College and Hospital at Burla where his condition is stable.

The driver of the jeep also sustained minor injury, but the special police officer accompanying the SP escaped unhurt.
