RSP registers best ever H1 performance in key areas

The Steel Plant produced 1.16 Million Tonnes (MT) of Hot Metal, 1.09 MT of Crude Steel and 1.05 MT of Saleable Steel by utilising 115.7 per cent , 114.1 per cent and 125.4 per cent of its rated capacity respectively thereby recording its highest ever performance since inception.

In the case of sinter production (1.76 MT), HR coil total (0.8 MT) and average Coke Ovens pushing (361 per day) too, the performance was the all time best, RSP sources said.

During the first half of the current fiscal, RSP made 12,992 tonnes of Spiral Weld Pipes and 34646 Tonnes of CRNO steel thereby registering growth of 9.3 per cent and 5.5 per cent respectively.

 

The production trend in the 2nd quarter of the current fiscal contributed significantly in achieving the H1 performance.

During the period July-September 2012, best ever performances were recorded in the production of Hot Metal (583190 Tonnes), Crude Steel (542392 Tonnes) and Sinter (856771 Tonnes).
