An experienced data journalist who knows how to tell stories with numbers in the heat of the digital news cycle. The data editor will be responsible for parsing the daily news cycle in order to identify, cull and shape relevant data into news stories.
- At least 8-10 years experience, including 4-5 years in data journalism, researching and compiling data.
- Wide knowledge of a variety of databases, coupled with the ability to quickly track and compile key numbers
- A comfort with the speed required of a digital news cycle accompanied by a strong commitment to accuracy
- Ability to see stories in data thrown up by the daily news cycle, especially with regard to business and policy news.
