Engaged in the manufacture and marketing of radio communication and wireless equipment, Eider Electronics Industries is promoted by technocrat entrepreneurs. The company came out with a public issue in Feb.'93 to part-finance the setting up of a project to manufacture radio paging systems. It commenced commercial production in Sep.'93. In 1994-95, the company started marketing 2-way radio systems. Eider has entered into as many as five collaborations with -- Tait Electronics, New Zealand and Zetron, US, for the know-how of city-wide and on-site VHF radio paging systems; Star Paging, Hong Kong and Samsung, Korea, for operating city-wide paging services; Kachina Communications for distribution of 2-way HF radios.
