Radiant Rotogravure (RRL) was incorporated in Apr.'88 as a private limited company and was converted into a public limited company in Jul.'93. It was promoted by S K Paharia, M M Goenka and U Kejariwal. RRL initially started its operations in a modest way by manufacturing polyethene / polyester films and pouches by rotogravure printing machine. It has expanded its product range over the years and presently manufactures poly/polyester laminates, BOPP and other multi-layer co-extruded films for packaging of tea, spices, fast food and detergent, vanaspati, edible oil, lubricants, etc. In 1995, the company came out with a public issue of 35,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each for cash at a premium of Rs 10 per share aggregating Rs 700 lac, to part-finance its expansion-cum-modernisation of the plant. During 95-96, it has successfully increased its installed capacity from 3,60,000 kgs to 6,00,000 kgs and during 1996-97, capacity increased to 16,80,000 kgs respectively. During the year 1999-2000, there was decrease in turnover due to the paucity of working capital.
