Greetings to you, from all of us at SHPI MM SOFTEK LTD, Bangalore. I
consider it a privilege and pleasure to share with you the progress made by
the Company till date. We can call them-the little steps towards a great
Marking an important Milestone in the growth of the Company was the launch
of iSMART, the e-business software for global retail industry on January
19, 2000 at Bangalore. The product was developed using the latest
technology and skill. It has many unique features like integration of B2B,
B2C and C2C facilities, coupled with back office operations including
business intelligence, multi- lingual use interface, multi-currency
transactions etc. The product was at display at IT.COM NASSCOM and at INTEL
sponsored symposium, wherein it was well received and as a strategic move
the Company plans to come out with new versions like iSMART+ for
pharmaceuticals, iSMART tex for apparel industries etc. This will not only
establish the,Company as a major IT industry but will also accord a wide
market reach, across diverse business industries in the future.
It is a moment of pride that the training division has completed a
successful decade, largely crowned with growth and achievements.
Established in the year 1990, the division has grown into 6 centres -
including 3 franchise units, which Offer the latest and most competitive
computer education for Students, Professionals and Corporates. Many of the
students who have passed out from this institution work in reputed IT
Companies in India and abroad.
The decinial celebration was marked with a range of sports and cultural
activities that showcased the talents of Students and Faculty Members. I am
sure this division would achieve many more milestones in the years to come.
100% Export Oriented Unit:
The 100% EOU at STPI - Keonics Electronics city, Bangalore commenced
operations from February 22, 1999. This state of art software development
centre with highly skilled software professionals, contributed
approximately fifty million in rupee terms by means of software exports in
the very first year of operation. Its clientele extend to the United
States, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Middle East and Afro-Asian countries.
Incidentally, by virtue of excellent market reach coupled with high quality
work, INTEL-Asia of India has recognised the Company as an E-business
Domestic Software Division:
Software projects and Software products developed at the SDC (Software
Development Centre) serve a host of industries, Co-operative Banks and
Financial Institutions. The expertise gained herein, helped create MM
BANCS, the state of art banking software. with bi-lingual user interface
and it is to the credit of the Company, that this happens to be the maiden
effort in Karnataka. Achievement gained in the field of multi-lingual
software is in line with the growing global trend of encouraging the use of
local language software for Internet, E-commerce and ERP requirements.
Further, a full fledged intranet software MMNET has been built to serve the
needs of different organisations like hospitals, institutions for WEB
designing, hosting and related services.
The Road Ahead:
The challenges of the new millennium, with new technologies and skills
required to exploit the existing and emerging markets in the field of
global IT, are to be met in the days to come.
The tie-up with a strong hold technology based Company like Transtream Inc.
USA will not only bring the in valuable technology "eNETCOM" but also, the
global market setup and strategies where the market potential is perceived
in infinite terms. The symbiosis will strengthen the Company in the years
As I said earlier, the Company has taken small steps towards a great future
and with continued co-operation from Members/Shareholders, Employees,
Customers, Media and the General Public, the organisation will continue to
scale greater heights.
