    Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani school pupil, education activist and winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize. She at 17 years is the youngest ever winner of the prestigious peace award. Malala shot to fame two years back when she was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman for her campaign on right to education for girl children in Pakistan.

    Winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Kailash Satyarthi, is a child rights activist based out of Delhi. He runs Bachpan Bachao Andolan Group in New Delhi. Satyarthi gave up his career as an electrical engineer 30 years back and started the Bachpan Bachao Andolan. This non-profit organisation has freed over 80,000 children from trafficking and child labor, also helping in successful re-integration, rehabilitation and education.

    The 14th Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso) well known for his lifelong advocacy for Tibetans inside and outside Tibet, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989. From his exile in India, the religious and political leader the Dalai Lama has since 1959 stood at the head of the nonviolent opposition to China's occupation of Tibet.
