Note 4 is priced much above the starting price of Apple's iPhone 6 at Rs 53,500 and a bit below iPhone 6 Plus at Rs 62,500. Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 will be available in the market ahead of Diwali.

Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7-inch display, and Samsung claims that the Galaxy Note 4 will deliver 7.5% more battery life than the earlier Note devices. Also, the 3,220mAh battery can be charged from zero per cent to 50 per cent in 30 minutes.

Galaxy Note 4 comes with 2.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, with support for 64 GB microSD cards.

It has 16 MP rear camera that comes with Optical Image Stabilization and the front camera is 3.7 MP.
Galaxy Note 4 will come pre-loaded with support for 14 regional Indian languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya and Assamese.

Samsung's latest device comes into the market just in two weeks after it launched Galaxy Alpha at Rs 39,990.

Samsung is still the market leader in the smartphone segment in India with a 29% share (IDC:Q2). However, domestic handset makers and new entrants are eating into its share fast. In the first quarter, its marketshare stood at 35%, according to IDC.

The South Korean electronics giant has also launched Gear S, its latest wearable device, priced at Rs 28,900. The smartwatch works on both 3G and Wi-Fi, and works almost like a smartphone.
