2006 Mumbai blast case: 12 out of 13 accused convicted by MCOCA court

Mumbai, Sep 11 (ANI): Nine years after the serial train bombing in Mumbai, a MCOCA court in Mumbai pronounced 12 accused guilty in the case on Friday, while accused number 8 Abdul Wahid Din Mohammed Shaikh was acquitted. The quantum of punishment will be pronounced on Monday.

A series of bombs had ripped across seven western suburban coaches killing 189 commuters and injuring 824 on July 11, 2006. Former ATS Chief KP Raghuvanshi welcomed the decision and said that justice was done to the victims.

However, one of the victims of the blast said that he was not happy with the judgement as the real culprits are still at large.
