2017 U-17 FIFA World Cup to be held in India

Kochi, Feb 16 (ANI): The The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) officials inspected Kochi Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium for the upcoming 2017 U17 World Cup, which is to be held for the first time in India. They inspected six cities in the line, including Kochi and Goa, where the matches will be held.

FIFA project manager, Jaume Yarza, visited India for the second time along with top officials of FIFA. Nodal Officer Mohammed Hanish said the Government of India has sanctioned Rs 12.44 crore for upgrading the Kochi Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium.
