350th Prakash Utsav celebrated with great fervour across India

Patna/Amritsar, Jan 06: Bihar's capital Patna, the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh ji, turned into a mini-Punjab on the occasion of his 350th Prakash Parv or birth anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru. The shrine was decked up beautifully as devotees came to offer special prayers and reminisced Guruji's teachings.

Thousands of devotees from across the country thronged the shrine to be a part of this grand celebration. The Khalsa Sikhs were seen wearing the five articles of faith, which were introduced by Guru Govind Singh.

The scene was no different at Amritsar in Punjab, where Golden Temple dazzled with beautiful lights and candles. A spectacular night show of fireworks was a major attraction for the devotees.

Guru Govind Singh, the last of the Sikh gurus, organised the community to protect their religious beliefs in the 17th century during Mughal rule. The celebrations of his 350th birthday brought together people from across the country.
