542 couples from different communities tie knot at mass wedding

Vadodara (Gujarat), Apr 06 (ANI): As many as 542 couples belonging to different communities tied knot in Gujarat's Vadodra as part of mass marriage programme. The mass marriage was organised in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

The couples belong to financially weaker sections of society. The event was organised by Mahendra Jashbhai Charity Trust at Savli town in the district.

Hundreds of people attended the mass wedding ceremony and congratulated the newly-married couples after the ceremony concluded. Among the couples who got married, four were disabled.

Rupani announced an aid of Rs one lakh to these disabled couples.
