Agriculture experts from Nepal learn ways to improve farm productivity

New Delhi, Sep 01 (ANI): A group of agriculture experts from neighbouring Nepal are undergoing training to improve farm productivity at an Institute in New Delhi. A group of 40 agriculture experts including researchers, policy makers and scientists are on a week-long training at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in New Delhi.

The ongoing programme is titled 'Value chains, Agricultural Development and Public policy: Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches'. The aim is to boost agriculture growth.

The Nepalese experts have visited Pune in Maharashtra to see the farming techniques adopted by the progressive farmers. Dr.

Shree Ram Ghimire, an agricultural economist from Nepal feels that this training model will definitely enhance Nepal's capacity to improve agricultural activity. India and Nepal have similar climatic conditions and farming is almost similar.
