Alert: Heavy rainfall causes Alaknanda River to rise above danger mark

Srinagar (Uttarakhand), July 16 (ANI): Heavy rains in the mountainous region of Uttarakhand's Srinagar have disrupted the normal life. Alaknanda River sees an increased water level and is quite close to the danger mark.

Heavy rainfall has also led to the submergence of the Ramjanki temple in Dungri village. The Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway also remains in danger.

Gangotri Temple also got flooded as a result of the spate in River Ganga after heavy rainfall.
