Anti Sikh Riots: Reopening cases opens past wounds, says Salman Khurshid

New Delhi, Jan 11 (ANI): After the Supreme Court ordered to reopen pending cases in the Anti Sikh Riots, Congress leader Salman Khurshid opined that reopening cases of riots and untoward incidents freshens past wounds. He said that it is not good for the people to reopen cases and questioned whether they should also open cases like Mumbai attack and many riot cases of Uttar Pradesh in the past 20-30 years.

He added that those cases which pertain to such painful incidents if reopened are not good for society and hence should come to an end. In a historic decision, the Supreme Court has entrusted as many as 186 anti Sikh riots cases to a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under it.
