AP Tribal Welfare Department organises tour for tribal farmers

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Dec 22 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Department organised a tour for tribal farmers to create awareness about profitable farming in tribal areas. At the end of the tour, 80 tribal farmers met Social Welfare and Tribal Welfare Minister N Anand Babu at state secretariat today.

They shared their experiences and knowledge they gained during the field trip to the minister. The farmers also displayed various agricultural and horticultural products.

While addressing the tribal farmers, the minister said that the state government has charted out plans so that every tribal family gets a monthly income of Rs 10,000. He further added that as many as 7791 farmers are given land entitlement documents for 69441 acres under forest rights act 2006 in three years span of 2015 to 2017.

The minister said that one lakh pending applications will be cleared and given land entitlement documents very soon. He assured 20,000 applications will be cleared off by the end of this
