Darbhanga (Bihar), July 22 (ANI): Residents of Kakerghati village in Bihar's Darbhanga are setting up temporary shelters next to national highway-57after the floodwater entered their houses. While speaking to ANI, a police said, "Arrangements are being made to ensure safety of locals and to keep the road operational." "We are not getting anything from the government.

We are stuck here," a local told to ANI. Around 12 districts including Sheohar, Dharbangha, Sitamarhi, North Champaran, Madhubani, Araria, and Kishanganj have been severely affected due to water levels rising in rivers following torrential rains.

On July 19, the Chief Minister had kick started the process of sending cash relief of Rs 6,000 directly into the bank accounts of flood-affected families.
