CBFC chairman has faced 'pressure' from Ministry, alleges former chief Pahlaj Nihalani on Padmavati modifications

Mumbai, Dec 30 (ANI): The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) recently suggested modifications in controversial movie 'Padmavati' including changing its name to Padmavat and giving U/A certificate with 26 cuts. Commenting upon this, former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani alleged that vote bank politics have been done on the movie because the film was presented to board after elections.

The present chairman has faced pressure from the Ministry, he added. He also claimed that producers suffered such huge losses because of the cuts.
