Chief Minister Raje lays foundation stone of Dholpur Lift Project

Dholpur (Rajasthan), Dec 25 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje recently laid the foundation of Dholpur Lift Irrigation Project in Dholpur district. She also inaugurated and stone laid various development works worth Rs, 1,200 Crore.

Addressing the people, the CM said that Dholpur Lift Project is the country's first irrigation project, in which a network of 1,600 km pipeline will be set up. The project costing Rs.

852 crore will be completed by 2020 and it will provide drinking water to 234 villages of Baadi, Dhaulpur and Rajakheda tehsils of Dhaulpur district. She also said that only sprinkler and pipes will be used for irrigation in this project.

In addition to this, a solar power plant will also be set up for the generation of 30 MW power, which will provide electricity to lift the water in the project.
