Childhood friendship can benefit your health, says study

New Delhi, Mar 29 (ANI): Childhood friendship may have benefits on your health, according to multi-decade findings. The study suggests that children who spent their childhood with friends tends to have less chance of lower blood pressure and lower BMI when they are in their early 30s.

"These findings suggest that our early social lives may have a small protective influence on our physical health in adulthood, and it's not just our caregivers or financial circumstances, but also our friends who may be health protective," says psychological scientist Jenny Cundiff of Texas Tech University. The study comprised of well-controlled racially diverse sample.

The study provided that socially integrated early in life is good in affecting several factors in adulthood. They researchers examined data from 267 individuals in the youngest cohort.
