Conjoined twins shifted to AIIMS for separation surgery

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), July 14 (ANI): With the help of Odisha Government, conjoined twins from Bhubaneswar have been shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for their separation surgery. The twins are two-year and three-month old and problems of their survival were increasing as they were growing older.

A nearby NGO informed the government about the twins and then they were sent to AIIMS for surgery. The doctors at AIIMS will examine the twins from today and decide whether a surgery will be done or not.

Earlier in India, three cases were reported but only one surgery was successful.
