Dalai Lama calls for 'peace' at inaugural session of Laureates and Leaders for Children Summit 2016

New Delhi, Dec 10 (ANI): Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Saturday called on the need to come together for bringing peace in the present century. The spiritual leader was speaking at a session titled 'Let us Globalise Compassion for our Children' during the inaugural ceremony of the 'Laureates and Leaders for Children Summit 2016' at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital.

The two-day summit, inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee, aims to bring world leaders on a common platform to unite the world through compassion for the children. The event, being convened by Nobel Peace laureate Kailash Satyarthi, is expected to be attended by around 25 Nobel Laureates and world leaders.
