Death due to inter-rivalry, no TMC involvement: TMYC President on death of BJP worker

Death due to inter-rivalry, no TMC involvement: TMYC President on death of BJP worker

Purulia/Maheshtala, May 31 (ANI): Huge stir was caused after the body of a Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) youth worker was found hanging by a tree in Purulia's Balrampur on Wednesday. BJP workers allege that Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers killed him.

He was apparently being targeted ever since the panchayat polls begun in West Bengal. Even though police probe is still underway, president of TMYC, Abhishek Banerjee openly challenged that his party was not at fault.

Whilst speaking to mediapersons, he said, "It is unfortunate. But it is due to an inter-rivalry.

It is a clash between BJP's local unit and Bajrang Dal. I challenge you, show me evidence of TMC involvement and I will ensure that person is jailed.

I will leave no stone unturned."
