Focus on wellness, well being: PM Modi at convocation ceremony of PGIMER (Part 1)

Chandigarh, Sep 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed the future doctors of the country at the 34th convocation ceremony of PGIMER in Chandigarh city. He called on doctors to focus on wellness, well-being and preventive healthcare.

He said that the world is now looking at preventive healthcare and this was seen when the world marked yoga day so enthusiastically. The prime minister also appealed the students to not focus on disease but the ill.

PM Modi noted that "technology driven medical science in assuming importance" these days. While congratulating the passouts for beginning a new phase in their lives, PM Modi sought to remind the 'future doctors' that this event does not mark the end of their education and learning.

He also talked about the 9/11 attack and said that the date has great significance in history.
