Forest Department rescues injured tigress in Corbett National Park

Bichpuri Range (Uttarakhand), May 30 (ANI): Uttarakhand Forest Department rescued an injured, aged tigress from Bijrani Zone in Corbett National Park on Wednesday. The aged tigress was injured with porcupine quills and they were stuck in her body.

The authorities tranquilised her and the quills stuck in her throat, neck and chin area were removed. After gaining consciousness, the tigress was later released in the Corbett National Park.

The staff at the National Park will keep an eye on the healing tigress, who is said to be about ten-year-old.
