Four builders booked for cheating consumers after CM Khattar's intervention

Gurugram, Jan 10 (ANI): In a major crackdown on fraudulent builders in Haryana's Gurugram district, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar ordered a probe against four builders including Mangal Sen Mittal, a proprietor of Ramada Hotels, for alleged forgery in the name of housing society. An FIR was also registered against Mangal and three business partners, who had formed Shanti Niketan cooperative group housing society in 2009, for allegedly taking Rs 40 crore till 2011 in the name of residential flats from the 98 members of housing society.

Divulging details, a complainant said the builders were making continuous promises but were not delivering the flats, forcing them to ask the Chief Minister to intervene. The construction of the flats came to a halt in 2011, the year it had to be allotted to the owners.
