Frothing in polluted Bengaluru lake alarms residents

Bengaluru, Nov 22 (ANI): Frothing in a polluted lake in Bengaluru raised alarm among the residents. The froth has been a perennial problem in Bellandur Lake, one of the largest lakes of the city, due to high content of ammonia and Phosphate and low oxygen levels, a result of inflow of sewage and harmful effluents.

Peeved residents complained that the froth served as a breeding ground for diseases and caused an unbearable stench in the area.
