Govt is committed towards making Andhra Pradesh a drought proof state: CM Naidu

New Delhi, Mar 22 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said people will not tolerate hurdles for Polavaram Irrigation Project, there is a conspiracy going on to stall the project.

The state is committed towards making Andhra Pradesh a drought proof state. Earlier, CM Naidu said Polavaram is a mega project and it is a lifeline to the state.

He also emphasised that this mega project will mitigate drought conditions and resolve most of the water problems of the state. The Polavaram Irrigation Project in Amaravati has achieved 53 percent progress, Andhra Pradesh officials told Chief Minister N.

Chandrababu Naidu in their 51st PIP review on Monday. The progress work includes the headworks, the Right Main Canal and the Left Main Canal.
