I asked for freedom, but I'm not free even now: Hadiya

I asked for freedom, but I'm not free even now: Hadiya

Salem (Tamil Nadu), Nov 29 (ANI): Hadiya, the girl who has been the centre of a love-jihad controversy, on Wednesday claimed that she has not got the 'freedom' so far. While addressing a press conference in Tamil Nadu's Salem, she said, "I asked for freedom from court.

I wanted to meet my husband but the fact is that I'm not free till now and that's the truth." Reiterating her long-standing demand for 'freedom', Hadiya asserted that her matter has nothing to do with 'politics' or 'caste'. "I am demanding basic rights that every Indian citizen has.

It has nothing to do with politics or caste. All I want is to talk to people I like", she said.

Hadiya's statement comes two days after the Supreme Court allowed her to pursue her studies in Salem.
