Ice Hockey Foundation gives free training to girls in Ladakh

Ladakh, Jan 05 (ANI): As part of their free coaching programme, the Ladakh Woman Ice Hockey Foundation (LWIHF) is training 110 young girls from different parts of the region. During the programme, equipment and skates are provided free of cost to the participants.

According to one of the founders of the LWIHF, the event gives girls an opportunity to rise in sports through which they would be able to come equal to par with men. The LWIHF has been conducting ice skating and ice hockey coaching programme since its establishment in 2015.

This time, they have conducted the programme for girls in the Guphuks Pounds near Spituk village.
