Indian embassy in constant touch with Yemen authorities over identity of Indian nationals killed: MEA

New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Vikas Swarup on Wednesday said that the Indian embassy is in constant touch with the Yemen authorities in order to ascertain the identities of Indian nationals killed in the Yemeni airstrikes. He said that the external ministry ascertained that two boats were sailing between Berbera, Somalia and Mocha, Yemen and they came under aerial bombardment day afternoon on 8 September.

Swarup also confirmed that the boats were carrying 20 crew members out of which 13 are alive and 7 are reported to be missing. Sanaa faced a series of airstrikes over the past few days, as a Saudi-led alliance ramped up attacks on the Yemeni capital in the hope of launching a decisive assault on the city which the militia seized last year.
