Indians killed in Saudi-led airstrike in Yemen

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 09 (ANI): Around 20 Indians were killed in airstrikes on alleged fuel smugglers reportedly by Saudi Arabia-led forces at Hodeidah Port in Yemen. The incident took place at al-Khokha near Hodeidah Port when two boats were hit in airstrikes.

Last week, Saudi Arabia-led coalition intensified their retaliatory airstrikes after Houthi rebels killed 60 coalition soldiers in a rocket attack. On Friday, a surface-to-surface missile fired by Hauthis had hit an ammunition depot in Yemen's Marib province.

Vicar General of Archdiocese of Trivandrum Eugine H. Pereira said that he is shocked by the incident as lives of innocent people are perished in extremists' group activities.

National Fishworkers' Forum President T Peter demanded action to be taken by the Ministry of External Affairs.
