Indo Pak DG level talks: NCP-CPI hope for better outcome, Congress says talks should be called off

New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): As the Indo-Pak DG level talks are scheduled to be held, political leaders reacted on Wednesday. While NCP and CPI hoped for a positive outcome from the meeting, Congress said that India should immediately call off the talks.

NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that the talks should take place in a cordial environment and topics of concern should be raised. CPI leader D Raja said that the talks should eventually reach a common consensus and its effects should be seen on ground.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Manish Tewari said that the government should immediately call off the talks as Pakistan has been maintaining double standards. He also questioned the government's stand whether it is under some international pressure to go ahead with the talks.
