Indo-Pak DG level talks to be held today, residents hope for a positive impact

Poonch, Sep 09 (ANI): The residents of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday hoped for a positive outcome ahead of the DG level talks between India and Pakistan. Lawyer from Poonch Iftqaar Bazmi said that now that the meeting is finally taking place, it should have a positive effect so that it shows on ground.

President of Citizens' Forum in Poonch, Sanjay Raina said that the talks should not limit to paperwork but the decision should actually execute in terms of control in ceasefire violation. Major General Umar Farooq Burki, the director general of the Pakistan Rangers, is expected to reach New Delhi today to hold talks with his Border Security Force (BSF) counterpart Devendra Kumar Pathak.

The Pakistan Rangers said in statement that as per Border Ground Rules 1961, a routine, biannual meeting between the Inspector General of the Border Security Force and Director General of the Pakistan Rangers is scheduled to be held in New Delhi from September 9 to 13.
