New Delhi, Feb 07 (ANI): In 2012 Delhi gang-rape case, a Delhi's Patiala House Court dismissed a plea which sought issuance of fresh date of execution for Nirbhaya's convicts and said, "it is criminally sinful to execute the convicts when the law permits them to live." Speaking on it, Nirbhaya's mother, Asha Devi said, "Today, the Court had the power and we had time. Nothing was pending, yet death warrant has not been issued. It's injustice to us, I will see till when the court gives time to the accused and government supports them."

SpiceJet will hold its annual general meeting for the 2023-24 financial year on December 30.
At the meeting, the airline will seek shareholders' approval for increasing the authorised share capital to infuse fresh share capital, according to a regulatory filing on Saturday.
Approvals will also be sought for the re-appointment of Ajay Singh as a director, appointment of Sonum Gayatri Malhotra as an independent director and for adopting audited financial statements for the 2023-24 fiscal year.
The meeting will be held on December 30.
Currently, the company's authorised share capital is Rs 15,000,000,000.
The filing said in order to facilitate the infusion of fresh share capital in the company, it is necessary to increase the authorised share capital to Rs 20,000,000,000.

Realty firm Gaurs Group has sold nearly 200 apartments in its new luxury housing projects in Greater Noida for Rs 1,300 crore amid strong consumer demand.
Gaurs Group has launched a luxury residential project 'Legacy by Gaurs', comprising around 250 units, at Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida.
"The first phase of the project has generated Rs 1,300 crore in sales, with nearly 200 apartments sold," the company said in a statement on Saturday.
The project features spacious residences in two configurations: 3,500 sq ft and 4,700 sq ft, across four towers, comprising a total of about 250 apartments.
Gaurs Group Director Sarthak Gaur said, "The overwhelming response to 'Legacy by Gaurs' is a true reflection of the trust and confidence homebuyers have in us. For over 30 years, we've focused not only on delivering homes but on creating long-term value for our customers."

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has found certain irregularities in funding to dedicated private Covid care hospitals (DCHs) set up in Odisha during the Covid-19 pandemic period.
In a report tabled at the state assembly on Saturday, the CAG said the Odisha government in April 2020 had issued guidelines for operations of the DCHs, managed by private hospitals.
The CAG examined the related records/ documents of 18 DCHs, located in the districts of Khurda and Cuttack. It was noticed that 51,967 Covid patients had been treated in these 18 DCHs in the first two waves of the Covid-19 pandemic, and Rs 724.50 crore had been incurred for the purpose.
The audit observed irregularities in passing the bills for payment, without proper check/ verification of documents. Thus, payment of Rs 144.88 crore to the DCHs, without verification of basic documents/ records, was irregular, the CAG said in its report.
Similarly, the auditor has also found irregularities worth Rs 2.73 cror

A day after presenting bi-monthly monetary policy, Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das on Saturday met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The meeting comes just ahead of the extended term of incumbent RBI Governor coming to an end. Das's three-year extended term comes to an end on December 10.
In 2021, the government had announced a three-year extension to Das's tenure, a month before his term came to an end.
According to sources, Das called on the Finance Minister in the evening here.
The career bureaucrat-turned-central banker, Das, was appointed the 25th RBI Governor on December 12, 2018, after the abrupt exit of Urjit Patel.
With the three-year-extension granted to Das, he is already one of the longest serving RBI governors in its 90-year history.
The RBI had on Friday opted for a status quo on the rates for the 11th consecutive time, amid growing calls to address the slowdown in GDP growth in the September quarter at 5.4 per cent.
