Jet Airways pilots stage protest demanding unpaid salaries in Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 15 (ANI): Hundreds of Jet Airways pilots gathered outside the airlines' headquarter at Siroya Centre in Mumbai today demanding their unpaid salaries. The pilots have not been receiving salaries for over three months now.

Speaking on the issue, Senior Commander and Vice-President of Jet Airways' pilots body National Aviator's Guild, Asim Valiani said, "Pilots, engineers and managers haven't received salaries for the last 3 months, and salaries have been irregular for the last 7-8 months. Government had promised us through SBI that they will intervene, that they are serious about saving 20,000 jobs, and that Rs 1,500 crore will be given, but we haven't seen the money yet."
