Karnataka Congress leader asks state government to act against errant police officer

Bengaluru, July 18 (ANI): Laxmi Hebbalkar, the president of the women's wing of the Congress party in Karnataka, has asked the state's chief minister and home minister to act against a police officer for allegedly breaking rules by seizing her trucks that were being used to transport sand during banned hours. Justifying her demand, Hebbalkar said that the men in uniform had been harassing her and her supporters.

She also claimed that the police officer in question had broken rules by recording their conversation and making it public.
