Low influx of tourists hit Dal Lake's houseboat owners

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Nov 25 (ANI): Tourism plays vital role in Jammu and Kashmir's people life but due unfavourable atmosphere in the region, the tourism industry has been hit badly. The houseboat industry of Dal Lake in Srinagar is suffering due to lower influx of tourists.

From past two years, the houseboat owners are not able to meet their ends. After last the last year killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani and his two associates and months of curfew, the tourists have restricted their visit to the Valley.

The boat industry is facing huge loss and many boat owners are bound to sell their boats to support their families. However, now the situation is under control and some tourists have started visiting region but that is not enough to full fill our losses.
