Maneka Gandhi defends her remarks on Muslim voters, says she loves the community

Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 12 (ANI): Facing uproar over her apparent 'distasteful' remarks on Muslim voters in her constituency, Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi said that her comments were twisted and that she loves the community. Gandhi clarified that she was the one who had organised the BJP's minority cell meeting, and has only said that if Muslims would vote in large numbers for her then it would be like "Daal pe Chaunka".

Gandhi in her public meeting had said that she was winning again from Pilibhit, however, if Muslims wouldn't vote for her in large numbers then she would also hesitate in working for the community after the elections.
