Manipur weavers promote rich legacy of Tangkhul Naga community

Ukhrul (Manipur), July 15 (ANI): The aesthetic beauty of handloom and handicrafts of India's northeast region speaks a volume of the rich and diverse history of the region. To a greater extend, the landlocked Manipur contributes an innumerable designs of handloom and handicrafts with its own distinct, aesthetic cultural values and traditional fabrics in the region.

One such traditional weaver in the state is Julie Horam, proprietor of Y. R.

Chon Handloom Weaving-cum-Handicraft Centre in Ukhrul District, who is promoting the rich legacy of the Tangkhul community, one of the biggest tribes in Manipur.
