Markets flooded with quirky t-shirts for 'Kanwar yatris'

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Jul 19 (ANI): As the city of Varanasi is known for its Ganga-Jamuni culture, it becomes even more evident in the Hindu holy month-'Shravan'. With the beginning of 'Kanwar Yatra', shops can be seen selling dresses of Lord Shiva devotees.

Markets are flooded with t-shirts displaying quirky quotes and symbols of Lord Shiva. T-shirts showcasing pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are also very popular among devotees.

Despite being a regular clothe business, it is a symbol of communal harmony. Varanasi owns a big part of market that manufactures material for temples and prayers.

People from Muslim community are an integral part of this market. These festivals prove to be the indispensible part of social harmony in the society.
