Meet Asfiya, Kashmiri girl who left government job to live her dream

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec 06 (ANI): It is said that 'Live your dream and take risks' and a Kashmiri girl stamped on it. Asfiya Bashir Khan left her government job and opened her own boutique shop 'Ibn Batuta' in Srinagar.

Asfiya completed her Bachelors in Multimedia from Apeejay Institute of Design in New Delhi and then started working in Kashmir University as a graphic designer but later left the job to chase her dream of opening a boutique shop in the valley. "I wanted to do something independently and I always felt passionate about the idea of a modern and chic lifestyle store," Asfiya said.

Ibn Batuta offers products ranging from leather accessories to wooden decor, from brass finery to handmade paper products. The shop also has introduced Moroccan lamp shades, glassware, and clocks in the Valley.
