MeT Department predicts rainfall for next 24 hours in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): Director of MeT Department, Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, on Saturday said that an active western disturbance is affecting Western Himalayan region, like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh from January 3 due to which snowfall is happening.

He also said that from Friday onwards, it is affecting Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh and some parts of north Rajasthan, causing a drop in the mercury. He added that the Western Disturbance is expected to have the impact for next 24 hours to these regions along with heavy rainfall, although the intensity of rainfall to decrease gradually
