Militant separatist group holds meeting with people in Nagaland

Dimapur, August 26 (ANI): Militant separatist group, National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN), held consultation with people and civil society in Nagaland. Many people from the across the state converged at the meeting for interaction with the leadership of the NSCN.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of civil societies, retired government officers, bureaucrats, women and students organisations. The meeting consulted on the peace accord signed between central government and leaders of the NSCN in New Delhi earlier this month.

President of a regional group, Tenyimi Peoples Organisation (TPO), Timikha Kocha, called the peace accord a positive development. While also reiterating to uphold the previous Naga People's consultative meetings, many speakers expressed optimism that the Delhi Peace Accord would lead to an acceptable and honourable settlement of the Naga issue once for all.
