Nepal flooding submerges dozens of villages bordering UP

Kushinagar, August 26 (ANI): Dozens of villages in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh have been submerged in water after heavy rains caused flooding in neighbouring Nepal. The rising water level in Narayani river in Nepal has led to flooding in Kushinagar, causing misery to thousands of residents.

Heavy rains in Nepal have led to floods and landslides in the last two months, leaving around 90 dead. Narayani river when enters India is called the Gandaki and passes through Kushinagar.

In Pipraghat village of Kushinagar, thousands of people have been displaced as the water has entered schools and residential buildings and damaged roads.
