OROP: Will immediately pull back our agitation if Govt accepts our seven points, says Satbir Singh

New Delhi, Sep 11 (ANI): Major General (Retd) Satbir Singh on Friday said that the ex-servicemen will immediately pull back their agitation over One Rank One Pension scheme and even cancel their protest rally to be held tomorrow if the Government accepts their seven points over OROP. Meanwhile, Ekta rally is being organised by ex-servicemen over OROP and will take place as scheduled on September 12.

Meanwhile, the agitation and relay hunger strike continued at Jantar Mantar today, for the 89th day. OROP scheme has been a long-standing demand of nearly three-million ex-servicemen and war widows in the country.

It refers to payment of uniform pension to military personnel retiring in the same rank with the same length of service, irrespective of their date of retirement.
