Osmania University student suicide: Students slam Telangana government, demands ex-gratia for victim's family

Hyderabad, Dec 04 (ANI): Students of Osmania University in Hyderabad staged protest after one of their batchmates committed suicide on campus on Sunday. Students of the university slammed the Telangana government and said E.

Murali committed suicide because of unemployment. They said they will continue the protest and will not allow police to shift the body until government takes responsibility.

The students also demanded that the government should sanction ex-gratia to the family and also should provide one government job to one of the family member. E.

Laxmi, Mother of E. Murali said, she has struggled a lot working as daily labour and supported her son in his studies.

"I thought my child will study and build his career" said Laxmi. South zone DCP V.

Satyanarayana, said that they are investigating the matter and the deceased's body has not been shifted yet. Satyanarayana said a case has been registered u/s 174 CRPC and further details will be revealed after the investigation.
